Current Students

Mr. Bassam Al-Qatab received his BSc in computer scince from university of Babylon,Iraq in 2002. Mr. Al-Qatab obtained his Master from univrsity of Malaya(UM), Malaysia in Software Engineering from 2008-2010. Currently He is a Ph.D student at university of Malaya (UM) since 2012. Mr. Al-Qatab research interest include Automatic Speech Recognition (include Arabic Language), and Language model.

Mehdi Malekzadeh is a PhD researcher for the Multimodal Interaction Research Group,Faculty of Computer Science and IT, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His research interests include advanced education technology, affective computing in learning environments and emotion in learning. He received his BCS in Computer Engineering-Software from Sadjad University of Mashhad, Iran in 2003 and he attained Master of Software Engineering from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2009.

Noraini Mohamed received her B.Ed (Hons) in information technology and mathematic from University of Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Malaysia and M.Sc. in Computer Science from University of Malaya, Malaysia, in 2006 and 2011 respectively. She  worked as a research assistant for High Impact Research Project in the area of speech recognition for speech impaired and unimpaired speakers at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Malaya. Her research interests include Speech Recognition, Language Model and Error Correction.

Pavani completed her B.Tech (Electrical and Electronic Engineering) in 2011 and M.Tech (Information Technology) at VIT University, India in 2014. She then worked as a Research Assistant from 2014 to 2015. Now she is a PhD student at FSKTM, Univeristy of Malaya since September 2015. Her research interests include E-learning, game based learning, wearable technology and speech processing.
